Valentine, Severn Trent and Garney Construction were selected as a Design-Build (DB) team to design and construct a 2 mgd arsenic treatment facility (manufactured by Severn Trent) for Well 21, located in an affluent neighborhood in the Town of Gilbert, AZ.  A low profile system with a compressed footprint to meet setback and aesthetic requirements was designed.  In addition, an equalization basin was provided to equalize backwash flows to meet sewer discharge requirements.  Valentine prepared signed, sealed and County approved drawings within two months in order to facilitate the Town’s schedule.  Valentine also coordinated an interim approval to construct from Maricopa County to allow for portions of the construction to begin prior to final design completion.  Conditional Use Permit acquisition assistance was provided as well as coordination of County Environmental Services Department Approval.
